CDP expands with opening of new building in China(11/2009)
The new infrastructures is a building of more than 7,500 square meters with five floors, one floor for offices and research and development department, three floors for production and the other one is for warehouse.
Along with new facilities, CDP also acquired three new SMT machines for automatic insertion and welded components in the logic cards.
Gustavo Guacaneme, production and quality control manager at the factory in Foshan ratified: “The moving process has not been easy, but these changes will increase the production capacity up to 40%. In this way we can cover and meet periodically with the increased demand for CDP in the market of China, India and Russia, and continue to take our branches in Latin America and our OEM customers.”
“Having more space and new SMT machines has allowed the insertion and assembly processes are refined and we managed to reduce total production time per unit by 15%, as we have expanded the production lines for more than 20 individual workers, thereby increasing the efficiency of the factory, ” Guacaneme said.
“With our expansion, no more overtime working to meet the demand, we can deliver everything and still have more production capacity.” said Guacaneme in the end.
