CDP the digital power of Chicago

With an objective to provide an interesting proposal of UPS in the Mexican Channel, with high margins of utility and good relationships, CDP enters the market with all its energy.
Chicago Digital Power (CDP), with current operations in Chicago, Miami, as well as India, China, Russia, Central and South America, has decided to participate in the Mexican market, and given its interest to work in this channel, talked with e-semanal to communicate its proposal.
To demonstrate its interest to the distributors, the firm has closed negotiations with distributors such as MAPS for the Distrito Fedeal; CompuGolfo for Veracruz; CVA for all its stores, Sistemas Aplicados for the Northeast and CT Internacional for the Northwest.
With all this associates they already have trainings programmed for its Sales Representatives. They are currently planning their next visit to Veracruz and Central America, where CDP would travel with promotions and incentives to create more demand, to position its brand name, and give the product the push needed to get the distributors’ recognition. Their plan is to give technical capacity and practice, marketing strategy for the distributors and incentives for the executives of the distributors and the wholesalers.
Ingrid Becerra, Regional Manager of CDP Mexico, said that they want to target the distributor, but they don’t want CDP to be everywhere, they are carefully selecting its distributors”. That is why she invited the distributor to test the products and verify its option.
Warranty of Quality
Mr. Maurilio Hernández Vice-president of Marketing and Sales in CDP said: “We want all the distributors to see our company like the company that offers the best product, at a reasonable price, market service, as well as a good branding image: a combination of good, pretty, and inexpensive.
To accomplish this, the executive said that they count with low operational costs so that they could offer that aggregated value that the market wants: quality and price, different from other manufacturers that lower their costs sacrificing margins and quality of its products.
Also, CDP would establish Service centers and a rapid Exchange policy of their equipment in 90 days, this means that, for any reason, if you are not satisfy with our product, an Exchange can be given, for a new product or for a credit note without any complication, this is how warranties would be manager throughout the republic of Mexico.
This compromise is given because the malfunctions of their products is below 0.01% to 1%, that is why if it does not malfunction in 90 days, it would not malfunction at all; after a period of three to five years the only complication would be the battery.
Technological Superiority
On the other hand, the most important characteristic of its products, Mr. Hernandez mentioned, is its internal design because it has the quality of auto-protecting itself; when it gets an overcharge it gives the user an alert, a feature that other brands do not have, which would help not to damage or burn the transistors.
Worth mentioning is that users do not know how much is 600 Watts and connect a more products that would surpass the capacity of the UPS, that is why, other brand products do not offer any protection.
The most failures presented among the UPS are due to battery and transistor malfunctions. If there is a black out, the normal equipment would go to backup, but if the system does not have an alert that automatically shuts down the battery, would keep feeding the battery. This might cause the batteries to drain to the point that they might not work anymore.
In this sense, all of CDP products have a sleep mode system, in which if you consume less than 10 watts your equipment would detect the low demand and will work for up to ten minutes, and than it would go to sleep mode.
Since in Mexico the energy conditions are really bad, CDP its prepare for it, since it already has experience from other latitudes such as Central America, South America, India, China, Russia and the Balkans.
Since the company started operations, it determined that it would never commercialize a product without a voltage regulator, this gives them a ample range of operations to receive very high voltages, even those found in Yucatan.
